picture tag

My cousin tagged me the other day. The rules are that you tag 4 people and you have to put the 4th picture in your 4th folder on your blog. Well here is the 4th picture on my fourth folder...
Nate and I started laughing when we saw what picture it was. So random. This is brooklyn prob about a year old. Gotta love the hair!! I'm surprised how much she had at this point. It really wasn't that thick but it looks like she had alot.
So now I tag Kayleen, Bethany, Debbie and Renee

and he's off!!!

Tanner is now in preschool!! He was so excited and had to wait a few weeks before his schedule was all set up. He kept talking about the bus and asking if he had school everyday.
So when the bus arrived he ran out the door without shoes or a jacket or anything. Not even a bye mom! Then once he was back inside to get his shoes on, He couldn't do it he was to excited. He kept going around in circles around the shoe. It was so funny to watch! He made bread dough the first day and I had to cook it for him as soon as he got home. i'm not sure if it was actually bread dough or an easier mix but he ate it. (this is Tanner) it smelled like dough but was dried out and didn't rise at all. it could have been flour salt and water for all i know.
He gets to work with a speach therapist which I'm so glad for that. It's also great for him to be away from mommy for a few hours a week and play with other kids.

Preston wants everything in sight now to be in his mouth. Esp if it's food. So I was eating a cookie the other day and he was on my lap, he saw it and tried to grab it so I moved my hand and he started yelling at me! It sounded like he was chewing me out. I grumbled about it and gave in, giving him the cookie to slime up. Brooklyn was standing by and said "well mommy, what's mine is yours!" Ya, esp. if your mommy

I went to Brookie's SEP conf with her teacher today. She is doing Great in school. Her teacher Mrs. Morgan wants to switch her to a higher reading level, the books she has been coming home with, she just breezes through. most of the time she does not need my help.
She said all the kids love her and she is very popular among the boys. uh oh!!!!! She has been kissed by a few and Mrs. Morgan has had to have a talk with the class about that. She said "I don't envy you in 10 years or so, good luck with that."
She had an area where she writes what needs to be worked on for the students and didn't have anything she could think of for brookie. i have no idea how I got such a smarty pants child.

Bows

Yesterday I was doing Broolyn's hair and decided she needs more bows. I don't have very many and they cost to much to get the cute ones. So I went online and looked at other poeples bows and on one blog there were instructions even! So instead of going to bed as I probably should have, I got out the ribbon I had and made a few bows for Brookie. The first one I did I even had Preston on my lap, trying to eat the ribbon while I was trying to use it.

He really is a handfull. He is so hyper lately, which I really don't think I need another child with excess energy, and when he is excited and bouncing all over it gets the other 2 giggling and excited. Any way, they were in bed already, thankfully! I stayed up till 11:30 making bows. They were turning out so cute that I was excited and not tired. In fact I had to take a Unisom so I could go to sleep. And before school this morning we went to buy more ribbon and clips/barretts to put the bows on! It helps that Joanns was having a sale and the ribbon I was buying was marked 2 for $1. Which actually ended up 4 for $1 and if I had known that before I left the store I would have bought double the amount of ribbon. O well at least I got a great deal!!!

So since I'm having so much fun making them I was wondering if anyone would like to buy any? Brookie only needs so many bows. I don't know if it would be worth it so I would like some opinions. How much do you think people would be willing to pay for 1 , 2 of a pair...?

so much snow!!!

So the other day when it snowed, we ended up with 6 or so inches. This picture was taken at 8 AM

Brooklyn and Tanner got out of bed that morning and came into my room to wake me up, as usual, by tickling my feet. Then they usually open the door to the balcony, which is in my room and play outside. Brooklyn opened the door and started yelling It's snowing! over and over again. She was totally excited! So after a hurried breakfast both of them had to get the snow clothing out and then played in the "backyard" for over an hour and a half.

They had a snowball fight, which even made it's way inside (but I don't care that much cuz the walk out basement is not finished), and after watching Brooklyn eat the snow by sticking her tongue out, Tanner wanted to try. So he layed down on the ground and started to lick the snow off the ground. I guess it could be worse.

They had so much fun and Iwas glad that most of their winter stuff still fits!

we should all vote this way...

Brooklyn came home the other day excited because she got to vote for the president of the U. S.
She told me about the 2 guys who were running. Her freind Dallan voted for Obama and she was upset, he was supposed to vote for John McCain. I asked her why she liked McCain better and she said "because he has blonde hair just like me!"
She watched the news all last night and was so sure he would win. When she woke up this morning her first question was "did John McCain win mom?" When I told her no, she actually started to cry!

more halloween

I wanted more pix on my blog but could only do so many in my last post so here's more.

The kids thought the pumpkin carving was smelly. Brookie was gagging ( but that could have been partly cuz she was sick) She did a cat and Tanner chose Thomas the Train (of coarse) for his pumpkin.

Preston was kept entertained with a sucker. He was so excited to eat it too. And sticky. He ate the whole thing and wanted more. The kids had one in front of him and he was bouncing like crazy, he was so excited.
He was very giggly for a while after too.

We dressed him in a warm lion costume and
I think he was pretty stinking cute.
Tanner was spiderman with the large boo boo's (he came up with that on his own- "Look mommy, I have boo boo's!) He has been wearing that costume all month. He even wants to watch spider man movies all the time right now. so silly. brookie was a fairy this year and a tiger at the fair that we went to. You know, you can't show up at 2 events wearing the same costume!
I was a southern bell. I borrowed my mom-in-laws hat and dress from her singing group for my costume. Daddy was a pirate. His was last min. and we tried to find an eye patch, but no luck. o well.
Now we have enough candy to last us the next 6 months or so and then we can start to look forward to the next halloween!

Halloween!

We went to a fair that Draper city put on and the kids had their faces painted, went fishing, made cool glittery pictures and a bunch of other fun things.

I am the homeroom mom for Brookies class so I'm in charge of doing the parties and we had an awesome party! The kids went fishing for pumpkins and bats, made cute bats, had halloween stories. We did a relay race where they had to put together a skeleton, a neighbor put together a cute book for the kids to color that was similar to brown bear but was brown owl instead. It turned out really cute. Then we made monster head apples. This one is brookies, the eyebrows are the best!
She was sick with the flu all week. I was worried she wouldn't be well in time for Halloween and then miss out on the fun, but luckily she was well enough to go! She was so tired though. She didn't last long with the trick or treating. That's ok though we still ended up with tons of candy!!
This is at Gardner Village. We went to the Witch-a-Palooza or whatever they call it. The kids love to go and see all the silly witches they have on display. All the pix I took of them infront of the witches, one or both are not looking though. This is the best I got that day. This year they didn't have as many silly displays we were a little dissapointed but the kids still had a good time.
