cooking is so over rated

There's a reason I love to bake. The stuff looks yummier, tastes yummier and you can put it together, stick it in the oven and forget it till the timer starts yelling at you.
Nate is always giving me a hard time about cooking. Even things like mac-n-cheese are annoying to deal with.
I have a habit of forgetting that I have something on the stovetop cooking. I'm all about multi-tasking so when I've got something in a pan, I figure its going to take so long til it's done so I can go downstairs to grab something or put a load of laundry in upstairs . The problem is that once I walk away, I no longer think about what is on the stove.

See, when you bake, not only do you have a yummy smell pulling you back to the kitchen but it's usually in the oven and the timer is set to remind me.
He thinks its so funny that I instantly forget about say, dinner cooking, but I would much rather do just about anything else than cook dinner.
He usually has to step in and save whatever is cooking so it's edible. ( He was just standing behind me reading over my shoulder and that was his insert)
I guess I'm lucky I have him watching out for us.
The nights that he is at work late the kids usually get cereal or a pb&j.
I'll bake cookies or brownies or things I 've never tried before any day.

tanner is going to preschool

Tanner was evaluated today to go to preschool through the Jordan School district. He is not speaking well and that is going to be the main focus but he qualifies for the preschool class and not just the speech therapist. He is in the 1st percentile with his speech, 9th in social, 25 in academics.
They will also focus on his peer abilities. Since moving he is terrified of playing with other kids. He wants to play but only dares if there is only one on one play. I was at a neighbors house the other day and he would not go inside the house where I was cuz there were a bunch of kids there. Another time I was outside chatting with a bunch of our neighbors and all the kids were out playing, he would not come outside. I carried him out and he clung to me. When I put him down he ran into the house and locked the door. At the eval. the teacher asked him something about his friends and he told her about his buddy Pyper. But he has no friends so far here and it's sad.
He gets to ride a bus to the school and he is excited about that. Brookie takes the bus home from school and Tanner always wants to ride also. I think it is going to be wonderful for him. Make him feel like a big kid like Brookie.

I figured it out!!!

I fugured out how to change my background and I didn't even use my hubby.

I wish there were more fonts to use I guess there prob are somewhere. That's just something else to learn.

So brookie is sick today, she has been asleep on the couch for 4 hours now. She wakes up, stares into space and goes back to sleep. She told me her tummy hurt around 11 and I tried to get her to eat and do all I could think of to get her to feel better before school thinking I'd just take her late if she started to play and run around. But she has slept through all of school for today so I guess not.

I have been kept up all night because of this blog btw. I keep thinking about things to write about instead of sleeping and when I do finally go to sleep, Preston wakes up and I start the process all over again!!!

He woke up prob 8 times last night. It's hard to remember for sure, it might have been more. I'm so tired of him not sleeping! He has been doing this for the past 2 weeks. Before then he was just starting to only wake up 1-2 times during the night. He even had 2 nights that he slept through the night. So what gives? I can't keep this up or I'll be a walking zombie. (I won't need to dress up for halloween though)

I got some bread made while brooklyn was asleep

Tanner and scissors

so the other day I was sitting at the computer and Tanner decided he wanted to cut something. It's his latest hobby.
I wasn't paying much attention to him till I heard him say cut mommies hair and felt the scissors in my hair. I spun around pretty quickly so he didn't get much, luckily! I guess I should prob pay more attention to him so he does not need to resort to dractic measures to get my attention. He did get a good talking to about how only mommy cuts hair.
Hopefully I can keep the cutting to paper from now on.

So I now have a blog...

I decided it's time to jump on board and do a blog.

I won't promise to be good at it though. But it is a good way to keep in contact with my friends on the other side of the mountain. I have not figured it all out though and it's 11 pm so this is the start and end of today.

Here are my 3 monkeys. Brookie and Press look so much alike, poor Tan, not only is he the middle child but the odd one out when it comes to resemblance
